The Center is the perfect home-like venue for your next small gathering! Whether you're planning a corporate event, family get together, or other special occasion, the Center will make your event truly memorable. The Center on Vandeventer can host up to 50 people. Located in Grand Center across the street from St. Louis University, the Center offers a full kitchen, dishes and linen service, tables & chairs, one full bath and one half bath, full internet service with WIFI, Sonos, a flat-screen television, and much more.

We no longer accept reservations for events that extend beyond 8 PM any day of the week.
Making a Reservation
We use our Vacation Rental software to manage the schedule for the Center on Vandeventer. When you enter your desired date, the reservation software will ask you for a checkout date. We know that you're not staying overnight, but enter the next date as a default (that's how vacation rental software works).
In the "Comments" section of your reservation, please give us details about your reservation to help us serve you better.

For example: if you would like to reserve Saturday, February 15th for your party, on the booking screen, you will enter that as your "Check In" date, and enter February 16th as your "Check Out." Don't worry, we know you're not spending the night.
The Center's minimum rental fee is an all-inclusive $229. This total includes the $180 rental fee, and a $49 automatic damage waiver in lieu of a security deposit.
The base rate is for a four-hour event. In addition, we allow two hours to set up and one hour to clean up.
For example, a typical event schedule may be:
-2pm to 4pm: set up time
-4pm to 8pm: your scheduled event time
-8pm to 9pm: clean up time
Additional time is billed at a rate of $40/hour. We understand that all parties and events are unique. We're happy to tailor pricing to your event. Please ask! Call or text Rachel at (314) 568-6941.
A $50 down payment is due at the time of booking to hold your reservation. The remaining balance is due no later than one week before your event.
A down payment of $50 is charged at time of booking. Any remaining balance, typically $179, is due 7 days before your event. (The remaining balance may be higher if you have a custom pricing for a longer event.)
Guests who cancel 8 days or more before their event date will receive a full refund of the $50 down payment.
Guests who cancel less than 7 days or less prior to their event will forfeit their full rental payment.
