COV

Thank you for considering the Center on Vandeventer for your upcoming event!

The Center on Vandeventer (COV) has a capacity of 50 guests, with many different floor plans available, depending on the type of party you are having and how many people you are hosting.

There is limited seating and space. We strongly recommend that you not exceed the limit of 50 guests. Fifty people is about the maximum the Center can hold if the party is an “open house” type of event.

The Center on Vandeventer is furnished. Almost all of the furniture can be moved around as desired. We will set up the furniture to your design and needs prior to the party. This ensures you have a quick and easy setup and decorating time, so that you can enjoy your event.

Below are different layouts we commonly use in setting up the COV for our guests. Please review and let us know which one you have selected. If you would like anything different than what we have, that is fine as well. Just let us know.

Casual Center #1

This floor plan is open and casual - ideal for an open house or business party. There is seating for about 20 to 25 people. Finger food is easy to serve with this setup. This floor plan includes everything that stays in the COV and cannot be removed. During the holidays, a Christmas tree will be set up on the left side of the entertainment center, so some seating might be slightly different.

Full House #2

Let's go from one extreme to another, shall we?

This layout shows what full capacity seating looks like. Here we have added almost all the tables available and all the seating we have available. In the kitchen you may add another table or two for laying out food (buffet style). There is intimate seating off to the side of the main table. The kitchen counter has four bar stools, if you would like to seat people there.

Keep in mind that in December and early January there will be a Christmas tree on the left side of the entertainment center and holiday decorations, so some seating may be slightly different.

Full House #3

This is simply the same as the last layout when it comes to the amount of seating, just set up a little differently. This could be helpful if you plan on having certain groups of people sitting together that need to be separated (the ex can go over there) or if you have guests you know will be “clique-y.”

As mentioned above, in December and early January there will be a Christmas tree on the left side of the entertainment center and holiday decorations throughout.

Intimate Family Style #4

Here we have 4 tables together in the middle to have a more family-style touch to a party. You can have decorations in the middle or gifts or food, it's up to you. This style is for the size of a party of about 20 at the big table, and 12 more at the other two. Some move the extra chairs to the side and use the tables for food, gifts, or decorations to be on the side of the big table.

T Time #5

This style gives room for all eyes on you! If you are seated at the bottom of the T or any other end, you can have everyone be able to see you. While everyone is listening to your interesting information (or trying to) they can sit back and relax, they won't miss a thing. You can also use this design for setting up a projection screen at either end as well for Zoom meetings or projection purposes.

Keep in mind that during December and early January there will be a cCristmas tree on the left side of the entertainment center and holiday decorations throughout, so some seating might be slightly different.

Announcing Party #6

This setup will have whatever you want at the front of the audience. We have a small round bar table at the front with a karaoke machine and microphone, with a few chairs off to the side for the other people itching to say something quickly. You can use the larger round table for extra seating, a snack table, drink table, table with pictures or decor - whatever your heart's desire! We can add tables to this design as well.

Layout #7 - The Elle

This layout is for 25 to 30 guests. Keep everyone together at one big table and have space on the side for food, gifts, or (even better) a dance floor. If you can see on the bottom right corner next to the 322 door, there are two tall tables set up for a guest check-in or bar area. In the area where the couch is, we can have all the recliners as well for the folks that want to relax or nap (you know, for Grandpa).
