Arrival Information

  • Check-In & Checkout Times

Unless we have confirmed other arrangements, check-in is any time after 4 PM, and checkout is by 11 AM.

  • Parking

The Loft has a two-car garage accessible via the alley.

When you check in, you must first park on the street. Park for as long as you want in the “30-minute parking” zone. This parking zone is for you ☺

Inside the Loft's front entry door, on a shelf with your keys, you will find a remote control for the overhead garage door in a plastic soap box.

The switch to turn on the garage lights is between the overhead door and the people door.

  • Transit

The Loft is three short blocks east of the city's most frequently served transit line, 70 Grand.

The Grand bus line offers direct connection to Metrolink, which serves Lambert Airport, Busch Stadium, and a number of other St. Louis destinations.

Coming from Lambert Airport: Take Metrolink to the Grand Station (this is a 25-minute ride). Use the elevator or stairs to go up to Grand Boulevard, and stand at the southbound stop. Take the next 70-Grand bus just under one-and-a-half miles south to Shenandoah Avenue. If you ask the bus driver, he or she will let you know when you reach your stop.

Walk across Grand Boulevard at Shenandoah (there is a traffic light), and continue east for three short blocks to the Loft at Shenandoah.

Here is a link to Metro St. Louis.

Pro Tip #1: For real-time transit info in St. Louis and more than 100 other cities, download Transit App on your smart phone. Authorize a credit or debit card on your Transit App and you'll be able to buy fares in St. Louis. If you are traveling in on Metrolink from Lambert Airport, you will pay the local fare, not the airport fare.

Pro Tip #2: Another useful resource is the transit feature on Google Maps.

  • How To Get Your Keys
  • Keyless Entry At Back Door

The Loft has keyless entry on the "people" door next to the overhead garage door, which is accessible via the alley (enter from Compton Avenue).

Watch this 34-second YouTube video on how to unlock this door. Press any key on the pad to lock the door.

The keyless entry code is the last four digits of the phone number associated with the reservation, followed by the check mark.

Once you open the "people" door to the garage and walk in, you will see the button for the overhead door on the wall across the garage.

Walk into the Loft via the wooden door. You will find a set of keys to the Loft and a remote control for the overhead door on a shelf near the Loft's front entry door.

If you checked in through the alley entrance, a second set of keys will be in the front lock box.

You'll find them in the bathroom. Thank you for using them for makeup or anything that might cause staining.

Smoking is not allowed in the apartment or anywhere on the premises. Please step outside to the public sidewalk or alley to smoke or vape.

  • What To Do With Our Laundry

No need to strip the bed. Place all used towels and linens in the laundry basket.

Other Things You Might Want To Know

  • No Bottled Water? Is The Tap Water Safe?
  • Alarm System

There are two alarm panels for the Loft. One is in the hallway outside of the entry door, and one is in the garage.

The alarm will hopefully be off when you arrive. If it's on, the code to turn it off is in your check-in instructions.

If you want to set the alarm when you are in residence, use the code that you received with your check-in instructions. (That's all you need, just those four digits, in and out.) All doors and the overhead garage door must be shut when setting the alarm.

  • Where To Wash Your Laundry

You're welcome to use the washer and dryer that are in the garage. The switch to turn on the garage lights is between the overhead door and the people door.

  • Oh no! I've locked myself out of the building.

"Oh no" is right. Please don't let that happen. Keep your keys with you when you are out and about.

If you lock yourself out, call 314-367-1106. If the office is closed, call the emergency number listed on the message service. Here's the let-in fee schedule:
