The Jessie Benton Suite is a thoughtfully furnished one-bedroom apartment one block west of St. Louis University. Amazing discounts for longer stays, with weekly housekeeping included.
The "Jessie" sleeps up to four, with a top-quality Queen bed in the bedroom and "the best damn sleeper sofa bed west of the Mississippi" (as one guest put it). Base rates are for two guests sharing the Queen bed. If you will have two in your party, but would still like to use the sleeper sofa in the living room, make your reservation for three. We will prepare it before your arrival.
Before your arrival, the Jessie Benton Suite will be stocked with welcome teas and treats, freshly roasted coffee, and light breakfast foods to start your stay. You will find a range of cleaning supplies and complimentary toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, Q-Tips, etc.). To keep rates low, we do not replenish these items during your stay.
There is an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, and hopefully everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully equipped for basic meal preparation. A round oak table in the main room offers seating for four.
The Jessie Benton Suite has dedicated high-speed internet service. The large smart TV in the living room has an antenna for local channels.
The "Jessie" in on the ground floor, but has one step leading to the building entrance. A laundromat is available in the building's basement.
Smoking is not allowed in the apartment or anywhere on the premises. While we all love them, pets are not allowed. If you are traveling with an infant, we have a pack-and-play available for a $10 one-time charge. If you would like to use it, let us know.
We accept same-day reservations, if you contact us by 2 PM Central Time USA. Upon making a reservation, you will be notified of SF Shannon House Rules. Creation of a reservation indicates acceptance of SF Shannon policies.
Weekly and monthly discounts are applied at the time of booking. You will always find best pricing by booking direct at SF Shannon.
If you plan to be in residence longer than a month, we accept monthly payments. There is no lease, but you must submit a rental application and pay a security deposit. Long-term guests must provide proof of their own renters insurance, or pay a nominal monthly fee for Tenant Liability Insurance. This insurance is underwritten by Great American Insurance Group and covers accidental or unintentional damage to the premises, but not to your personal possessions.
State lodging taxes apply to stays less than 30 nights. City lodging taxes apply to stays less than 32 nights.

The Central West End Neighborhood Security Initiative has installed exterior security cameras on The Fremont, the building that is home to the Jessie Benton Suite. In the event of any criminal activity, a police officer employed by that taxing district has the ability to monitor camera footage.
