Emma Sale Suite

***Attention Guests:  We are doing everything we can to keep guest apartments clean and sanitized. Between each stay, protocols include cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.). ***

The Emma Sale Suite is a studio apartment in the Central West End, one of St. Louis' best walking neighborhoods. "Emma" provides a cozy home for up to two guests, offering everything you'd expect and more.

The apartment’s luscious Queen-sized bed is the best manufactured in St. Louis. The kitchen features a full-sized gas range and lovely oak dining table.

Before your arrival, the Emma Sale Suite will be stocked with welcome teas and treats, freshly roasted coffee, and light breakfast foods to start your stay. You'll also find a range of cleaning supplies that you're welcome to use and complimentary toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, Q-Tips, etc.). To keep our rates low, we don't replenish these items during your stay.

“Emma” features dedicated high-speed internet access and WIFI and local TV service. You are welcome to log into any streaming services to which you subscribe through a Roku Box.

The Emma Sale Suite is on the sixth floor of The Fremont, an historic building in the Central West End. This seven-story building has its original 1920s-era elevator. While the elevator is dependable and kept in good working order, it sometimes goes out. Should the elevator stop working, we make every effort to repair it right away! Be aware that you might need to use the stairs. Please note that there are six flights of stairs. We regret that we cannot guarantee elevator service to the Emma Sale Suite, though you'll usually have it.

Dynamic pricing ensures competitive rates. State lodging taxes apply to stays of less than 30 nights and City lodging taxes also apply to stays of less than 32 nights. SF Shannon offers weekly and monthly discounts, which are applied at the time of booking. Contact us if you would like your reservation divided into weekly or monthly payments.

We accept same-day reservations, if you contact us by 2 PM Central Time USA. Sorry, while we all love them, we do not allow pets at the Emma Sale Suite. Smoking is prohibited.

Upon making a reservation, you will be asked to sign an electronic document to confirm your understanding of SF Shannon's payment and cancellation schedule and policies. Here is what it says.

We have three first-come, first-served parking spots on the lot adjacent to the building. These three spots serve the two guest apartments in the building. Please note that maintenance contractors are allowed to use these spots, too (they typically only need them on occasion and during the work day).

The Emma Sale Suite is a short stroll to St. Louis University and Cortex. Forest Park and the Central West End’s historic treasures are within walking distance, The apartment is across the street from a 24-hour full-service supermarket. Walk to your choice of coffee houses, first-run movie theaters and fine restaurants.

Since all of SF Shannon’s vacation rental apartments are in the historic core of St. Louis, we occasionally receive the question: “Is it safe?” This question is impossible to answer, because we typically know nothing about the person asking it. The co-owners live within walking distance of each SF Shannon vacation rental. Rachel, Karen and their spouses have raised their families in their respective neighborhoods, and have always felt perfectly safe.

At The Fremont (the building that is home to the Emma Sale Suite), the Central West End Neighborhood Security Initiative has installed exterior security cameras on the building. In the event of any criminal activity, a police officer employed by that taxing district has the ability to monitor camera footage.

If you're traveling with an infant, we have a pack-and-play available for a $10 one-time charge. If you'd like to use it, please let us know.

Why that name?
The apartment is named after Emma Sale. She and her husband George built The Fremont in the mid-1920s.

Thank you! We hope we get the opportunity to host you and earn your business.
