Anna's Retreat is a one-bedroom apartment and sleeps up to two people. Enjoy a top-quality Queen-sized bed, laptop-friendly workspace, high-speed internet and galley kitchen that includes all basics for meal preparation. Take a shower or soak in the 50s-era bathtub. Anna's Retreat has a smart TV, with an antenna for local stations.
Before your arrival, Anna's Retreat will be stocked with welcome teas and treats, freshly roasted coffee, and light breakfast foods to start your stay. You will find a range of cleaning supplies and complimentary toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, Q-Tips, etc.). To keep rates low, we do not replenish these items during your stay.
Anna's Retreat is located on the second floor, and accessible only by stairs. Pets are not allowed in Anna's Retreat. Smoking is prohibited in the apartment or anywhere on the premises.

LAUNDRY & HOUSEKEEPING
We provide weekly housekeeping. We will make the bed, swap out dirty towels and linens, dust and vacuum. Housekeepers do not wash dishes or take out trash.

Parking is free and on-street on the block in front of Anna's Retreat. You will almost always find a parking spot right in front of the building. The spaces between the "30-minute parking" signs are for your car.

Anna's Retreat is in the Tower Grove East neighborhood, across the street from Compton Heights and its million-dollar mansions. From this location it is easy to walk, bike or take public transit around St. Louis.
The Gateway Arch, America's Center, and Downtown St. Louis are less than four miles from here. The world-renowned Missouri Botanical Garden is a delightful 25-minute walk through some of the city's finest historic neighborhoods.
Walk to St. Louis University Medical Center. The main campus of St. Louis University is two miles north. Washington University's main campus is about seven miles from here. Barnes Hospital & Washington University Medical Center are about four miles away. Walk to numerous restaurants, coffee houses, shopping and magnificent historic parks.

Since all SF Shannon apartments are in the historic core of St. Louis, we occasionally receive the question: “Is it safe?” This question is impossible to answer, because we typically know nothing about the person asking it. Co-owner Rachel lives a few blocks from Anna's Retreat. She and her her husband raised their daughters in this neighborhood, and have always felt perfectly safe.

Anna's Retreat has window-unit air conditioning. We pull the air conditioners out of the windows by the middle of November to clean and store them for the winter. We reinstall the air conditioners in April. If you feel like you need an air conditioner outside of this schedule, please discuss with us. We will do our best to accommodate.
In the winter months, heat is controlled by a central boiler that runs steam through the radiators. The boiler is scheduled to run 3 to 6 times a day, depending on the weather forecast.
